Job Title Route Relief Specialist (CDL A required)

SUMMARY OF POSITION: Route Relief Specialist’s primary duty and responsibility is to effectively provide relief services for various routes (including open and vacation routes).   This involves driving delivery trucks (typically12-16 bay side loader, bulk trucks and vans) to assigned accounts as scheduled, deliver Pepsi products to customer’s designated receiving/stocking area, merchandise/stock designated Pepsi space (shelves, coolers, racks etc.), and generate accurate invoicing for daily settlement.   It may also include making sales and obtaining replenishment orders in assigned accounts. 

The position requires cross-training experience.  Position may also be responsible for assisting in the training process of new employees and for assisting managers in servicing their territories.

EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE):  High school/GED is required.  

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS:  Valid Class A Commercial driver's license (CDL) in good standing.   Driving record within MVR policy guidelines: No license revocation, suspension, DUI/DWI, careless or reckless driving.

  • This position requires lifting, loading, pushing and pulling cases weighing from 20 – 55 pounds, and moving pallets with a pallet jack.  Must be able to push/pull up to 50-250 pounds.
  • Must be able to perform frequent bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting
  • Must be able to perform frequent reaching over the shoulder, from waist level and from the floor
